It’s been a bit since we moved into the new house, and it seemed like we just kept putting our bedroom on the back burner for completion.

We are so excited to say that The Fox Mercantile is officially open! And of course we had to kick off the grand opening with a party under the Mercantile stars - which was a HUGE success!

The Fox Mercantile is officially open and my childhood dream of playing ‘stone’ is my realty. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone!

When I saw this technique, I knew I had to incorporate it into the Merc. Shou Sugi Ban Wood Burning is the art of torching the wood, just enough on the surface that it chars, but doesn’t burn. And the look and texture are incredible!

Every time I decorate a space I like to approach it with my senses. I really think the combination of all of the senses is what brings a room together. Well, when it comes to decorating it’s more - so a combination of touch, smell, sound, and sight. Not so much taste…unless you’re in the kitchen!
