OMNI LA COSTA VACAY

Well you probably know by now that we love to travel. I’ve said it before but I’m a light at the end of the tunnel kinda gal, I always enjoy having something to look forward to. Every year we pack our bags and head to one of our favorite spots, Omni La Costa Resort and Spa. I’d like to say it’s a kind of staycation for us. Not too far, but just far enough that we feel well traveled. Our favorite time of year to go is for the Fourth of July. The weather is warm and everyone is decked in red, white, and blue. The hotel hosts a huge party on their grounds and a spectacular fireworks show. We pull blankets up and sit right under them. However; the last two years we’ve gone in May and we’ve loved it just as much! First off, the grounds are stunning. If you do nothing else while staying there except walk around the grounds, it’s a win! Large grass areas for the kids to run around and play ball, flowers everywhere, water fountains, and beautiful trees. Oh and all the pretty tile! I’m a sucker for that!

We usually stay in the wedding courtyard area. It’s semi private and decked out with all the blooms. But this year we stayed in a three bedroom suite. Really living it up and soaking in ALL that extra space. You know the living in 180sqft situation really helps you appreciate all that extra space! And of course the bath tubs! Literally soaked that in as much as we could! Baths for everyone, two times a day!

But our favorite part about the hotel is how family friendly it is. While they do have an “adults only” pool, and a kids club so that someone can watch your kids while you go to said pool, the family area is just as epic. Our kids talk about the pool area all year long. Excited and anticipating our next trip to the water slides at La Costa.

This was our first year sitting by the “big kids pool” and no one was wearing floaties! It was a very surreal moment for Dino and I. While we didn’t have to stay by the kiddie pool, my kids still love going in it. A sand area, beach vibe walk in, and small water slide… it’s still has much to offer. We can’t forget the big slides now can we? The best attraction! Two epic water slides Dino and I can race the boys down.

Must talk about the food. My favorite part of every vacation. Ok let’s be real it’s my favorite part of every day. Delicious food poolside, drinks and dessert at Bobs steak house, breakfast at the 24 hour cafe, and of course a little room service to indulge and spoil ourselves.

I was supremely spoiled this year by Dino. He watched the kiddos, while I enjoyed a morning alone at the spa. I got a facial and then ate lunch outside at the spa restaurant. Which I didn’t even know existed until this year. It was amazing! Beautifully landscaped and quiet. The facial was hands down the best facial Ive ever received. It was a perfect treat and I left feeling glowing and relaxed.

There’s a reason why we come back every year. The customer service is excellent and each year it seems to get better and better. We can’t wait to go again and make more memories!
