Our Bedroom Update

Your bedroom is a place where you rest, worship, love, cuddle up and make memories... so why shouldn't it be one of the more important places in the home to make YOU? It took us way too long to pull this all together but we carved out the time this past week, starting with a little paint [!!!] and I am so glad we did. It's cozy and so us and it makes me want to never leave the bedroom...which not surprisingly, Dino loves! This space is full of texture and pattern and makes me feel so happy.

We started with my go to white paint for the walls, for a clean slate. Dino and I are going to use wood on the ceiling to bring it all in - I will share how we pull that together then!

I knew I wanted something above the bed that was unique and brought warmth to our white wall, so Mama Lori Ann Designs and I headed to the salvage yard - this one piece stood out - even with a little possible bird poo - and I knew she was the one! She just needed a little trim on each end, a little sanding on said poo, and voilá, the fit was perfect and it just looks intentional like it was meant to be there all along.

This Serena and Lily rug has been with us from house to house was my hard 'no' whenever we were selling our homes and they wanted the interiors. It's a statement making rug and has lasted the test of time - I love it just as much as the first day I got it! They are sold out of this one, but I can vouch their rugs are incredible. This mirror also traveled with us - it's just so good! After shopping my home and gathering finishing touches and lots of pretty linens, I think this space is just what I wanted it to be, a place to come together.
