San Diego vacay at Four Seasons Aviara

Pool side is my best side.

Take me away! Really I could go on a little one or two nighter away every month and die happy. There is just something so life giving about a little time away with my man.

This was our first time to Four Seasons Aviara and it did not disappoint. Dino doesn't like me to tell him anything about hotels when we go away so that when we get there, its a big surprise to him. And Ive kinda picked up that trick too. We were so pleased when we arrived! It was lush and beautiful. The grounds were private and very quiet.

Im a sucker for design so the details all around the hotel really called to me!

We sat poolside by day, ordering drinks and food, even a little nap!

We went away to celebrate my birthday so we spend our last night there enjoying the private five course tasting meal in the kitchen. Wow, this was a first timer for us and an amazing experience. My love language was food and I couldn't believe the flavors and attention to detail that Chef Will put into our meal. Like it was specifically tailored to us! So cool!

The hotel was perfectly located in the heart of Carlsbad. We were able to take an afternoon and enjoy a tour of the Lux Art Institute. It was so cool to hear about their residency program where they allow an artist to live on site and work on a dedicated project for a month. Then at the end of it they get to feature it in the museum. Amazing to see and experience!

We spent another afternoon at a new outdoor shopping center called One Paseo. It was a cute little spot to grab coffee, ice cream, food, and do a little shopping!
